The Consiliatura or the University Board of Governors is made up of the Rector, who is the president, and the Consiliarios or Governors.

This is the highest governance body of the University of El Rosario and its role is to assist the Rector in all his or her responsibilities, to take care of the assets of the institution and the approval of the annual income and expenses budget, among other responsibilities granted by the Constituciones  Old and Recent Constituciones or bylaws of the Institution.

The Consiliarios are five governors elected by an electoral body made up of the Rector and the fifteen Colegiales de Número, for a period of four years, and may hold office indefenitely.

As well, the Consiliatura has the responsibility to call for the Rector’s election and to elect him or her jointly with the Colegiales de Número.
