Maestría en Economía de las Políticas Públicas

Candidate Profile

The Master's Degree in Economics of Public Policy is intended for professionals from various disciplines interested in economic and social policies. It offers a solid analytical and quantitative education that allows the student to stand out in any stage of the public policy cycle, such as the stages of design, development, implementation, evaluation and follow-up. We shape students with a high capacity for innovation and critique, who are conscious of the complexity of public issues and the scope of the policy tools available to address them.

Basic training in mathematics and statistics will facilitate good performance in the program. However, our focus is interdisciplinary and our students come from various contexts - some quantitative, and others not so. In addition, although being certified at a certain level of English is not a requirement for admission, we recommend having knowledge of the language, given that most of the required reading is in English and some classes may be taught in this language.
