Who are we?
The Integral Development Plan of the University of El Rosario (PID for its initials in Spanish) establishes as one of its fundamental axes the internationalization axe.
The PID explicitly considers that the internationalization process of El Rosario must introduce the University in the way of life of an academic community without boarders, and also that it has to promote an attitude towards the international spaces, in order to achieve the required acknowledgement to have a solid interaction with the wider academic community, with the international organizations and with different nations.
Further it is aimed at inward internationalization that would facilitate the creation of an international culture, as well as of intercultural processes within the community.
In order to execute the internationalization policy, El Rosario instituted the Chancellor’s Office as a specialized unit that leads, facilitates and promotes the internationalization efforts of the University and of each faculty, thus creating an “international culture” that penetrates all the fields in El Rosario, and facilitating a better relationship of the academic community with the world.
The Chancellor’s Office designs, examines, accompanies and executes internationalization activities based on three strategies, where quality comprises the axe that supports and sustains its raison d’être.
What do we do?
We perform actions directed toward preparing the academic community to confront the commercial modalities of educational services, that is: providing over the borders, consuming abroad, commercial presence and temporary mobility of students, teachers and researchers.
