Working Conditions
Faculty members are entitled to a competitive 12-month salary as well as generous monetary incentives for publications, which are increasing in the journal’s quality. In addition, incoming faculty receive a research stipend. Every faculty member is offered a permanent contract and promotions are awarded on the basis of academic productivity.
On top of the School’s research funds, faculty members are entitled to apply to University-wide research grants on a yearly basis.
Incoming faculty are expected to teach two courses during the first 3 semesters, and 3 courses per year thereafter. Starting on their second year, faculty members are expected to engage in some reduced administrative duties. International faculty are not required to teach in Spanish.
